I wish he would understand me when I say his baseline Biological instincts are the cause of all his sufferings, insomuch as your brain simulates emotional pain when in a lonely state. This is primarily due to our status as a social species, if we were any other type of species he wouldn't feel the need to be in a relationship and he could live a single life worry-free pewpew.

Being ugly is the ultimate curse
Why is it so depressing? Because no matter what some people say, our purpose that is integrated into us on almost cellular level as a social and sapient species is to spread our genes- every aspect of your body and mind is constructed towards that goal and if you don't succeed at it then you're failing your own purpose- and your body will do everything to make you suffer for it. Which, in a way is another evolutionary mechanism meant to make faulty units either reach for desperate measures and "prove" themselves or sabotage themselves (why do you think that depression is so draining?) and not spread their invalid genes futher. One of the worst blackpills is that your body is your worst enemy- it makes me want to gut myself sometimes but ironically that would be what it (the body that hates me from evolutionary) wants. What a mess.

If you are alone you don't have a close knit tribe and you don't have a family, without which you cannot reproduce nor survive in harsh stone age conditions. Your depression is your body telling you to socialise and get an obedient gf, unknowingly that although all of your ancestors reproduced, not reproducing is the norm for human males as is loneliness in this society. It is an evolutionary response to a situation which is not evolutionary advantageous, however futile achieving your genetically predestined goals are.
