High fantasy to me is a great form of escapism. I don't want to see people realistically portrayed as the worthless predictable treacherous manipulative animals they are. I want to see characters portrayed as beings who actually have consistent moral standards and who care about others even if there's nothing to gain. That itself is the most attractive aspect of fantasy to me. This pure good and pure evil does not exist in real life. In actuality people are hypocritical animals who only have consistently in mindlessly following their impulses. Evil is simply those who go against the dogma.
I wish there was consistency. I wish there was an ultimate good and evil. (Although this wish itself is motivated by an instinct for tribalism and violence.) I wish women were these kind loving beings.
of course most high fantasy is plagued with shallow lookism which reminds me of real life so instead of engaging in fiction created by others I'll day dream about scenarios and fictional high fantasy myself. Whenever I feel down I'll just imagine that I am a character in this high fantasy world.
