Foids will spend a lot of time trying to make their homes look like interior design catalogues. Why? Because people who don't much have much of an inner life need to rely outer stimulus in order to feel fulfilled.

Intelligent people have such a rich inner life that their surroundings don't need to be anything but minimalist and functionalist. Do you think great philosophers went around their homes adding colorful pillows to their couches? No, they were thinking, pensive people whose imagination and thought power didn't require fluff to keep them satisfied.

Women are simply uninteresting. If they look interesting other women will want to talk to them, and they rely on that socialisation. It's always easier to buy pillows and LED lights than it is to get a hobby.
