that a Little Pony would need to look up at even a short 5ft human is just a natural thing that they would notice and it makes sense for the author to describe that

it would actually be odd NOT to mention anatomical differences in a fanfic, especially when describing interspecies meetings

It'd be like me writing a fic about fucking a 4ft dwarf girl without mentioning she's shorter than me, or about fucking an 8ft klingon girl without mentioning she's taller than me.

If you start omitting details to avoid triggering people who misinterpret any reference to a characteristics as fetishizing it, you're going to have a pretty sparse story.
