Damn you don't really see much profound and analytic posts like this on the site. You've identified what is likely the source "break point" for incels. Every guy has his own "escape" and more and more as time goes on "normie culture" begins to encroach upon that realm. I'm pretty sure at some point there will be a mass shooting by a "hardcore gamer" who will take notice of women and couples taking part in his escape as it becomes "trendy".

Think about it, going on a "nature walk" is something in the past that would usually leave you secluded and give you a break from your problems in life but in these times shit like "walks on the beach" are now in the realm of "romanticism" so you could literally just go for a walk on a beach late in the afternoon to escape the self loathing and suicidal thoughts inceldom has caused you and boom there it is, a couple making out on the beach.

Which reminds me of something, I have a few friends, one who is an incel like myself who often talks about how gaming is becoming "a thing" via "e-sports" and now it will become respected, etc. He isn't black pilled as you can tell, I've tried to talk to him over and over but some people are just beyond help, he doesn't realize that popularity is what ruins a hobby/subculture, the best ones are the obscure ones because they remain true to their intent, popular ones always end up revolving around sex and relationships and lose the core of what they are. Gaming becoming a normie thing will only make it easier for chad to snatch up whichever "nerdy females" were available to us to begin with.

This whole E-sports BS taking place here is a gateway to gaming culture being ruined. Its a curse in disguise. See all those skinny asian dudes on those League of Legends Teams, once women become a prominent part of that culture watch and see as it gets invaded by changs who can't even really play but it doesn't matter they'll be more popular. Indeed. I think Sodini & Elliot took their notion of a ‘safe zone’ to the extreme, not to undermine their struggle but they most likely had obsessive personalities on top of everything else.

I share the sentiment that you’d be hard pressed to be able to successfully hide and thrive in any given subculture or hobby without it being overrun; eventually, it will happen. However, I do think that there’s a viable solution - technological regression. The problem with gaming, the online world and so on is that it’s designed for mass access and mass appeal.

I believe that there’ll be a subset of people in the upcoming years that’ll categorically reject communications & media technology; they will not watch TV, play games or surf the web. They’ll read old, forgotten books, have gatherings, use disposable phones, embrace analog technology - not like hipsters do today as a way of creating new markets or flouting wealth on retro items as a sign of status, but as a mean of developing themselves outside this global media chaos we’ve got. Might take a while, however.
