I mean it accomplishes nothing, and yet it almost instantly makes me feel noticeably better. Doesn't make any sense tbh. Seems like it's only actually useful for foids, in that it signals for other people to come resolve her problem. Yet a grown man crying would probably do little more than invoke feelings of disgust, good thing then that nobody has ever seen me cry since I was a kid.

Maybe the emotional relief is a byproduct of crying being made rewarding for children and foids, as it doesn't seem like productive behavior for men.

Others suggest that it is done in order to calm oneself down, because it forces you to utilize longer lapses in inhalation, leading to a more measured breath cycle.
