I mean come on! Scandinavia is mediocre at best but they have all this attention surrounding them! For fuck's sake, they're still trying to use socialism over there for crying out loud! Why can't people appreciate the true fathers of Europe, why must the romans be demonized in every form of media, including manuscripts over 4000 years old (the bible)? Someone explain why this combo is so fucking deadly! What good does having blonde hair and blue eyes provide!? It's not like you become a super human or something YET EVERYONE WANTS IT!

We aren´t speaking about supersaiyans, lol, but I don't think it's the eyes and hair alone to bestow such an halo upon them. Probably it's more their phenotypic features taken in aggregate. But I do second the idea that the Romans´achievements are strongly downplayed.

19th century romantic nationalism/racialism.

Modern European nations trace their statehood origins back to the early middle ages, and who founded those states? Germanics (Franks, Anglo-Saxons, Lombards, Saxons, Goths, Vikings, Normans, Germans etc.).

In the 19th century, there was an established mythology that Germanic people are state-builders and that they are the most superior out of whites. Here is why this theory got immensely popular: back then, the most powerful empires where Britain (Germanic origin) and France (founded and named by a Germanic tribe). Then you had Germany and USA (ruled by Germanic WASPs) as rising powers. Russian aristocracy was also heavily Germanic in ancestry (including the ruling Romanov dynasty) and Russia itself was named after a Germanic Viking tribe. Austria-Hungary - also ruled by Germanic class. Basically everything powerful could be traced to Germanics in one way or another.

The Germanic countries were the most industrialized too, the European south was inferior in technology and progress at the time.

The non-Germanic states like Spain and Italy were mogged by these powers and even with those two you can trace Germanic statehood back to Goths and Lombards. Also Northern Italy used to be ruled by Germanic Holy Roman Empire, Sicily was ruled by Normans...

Back then, white race was viewed as superior by default and Germanics were widely regarded as the most superior out of white (of course, you had some salty Latin people disputing that and bringing up muh Roman Empire but they got laughed at). The Germanic phenotype was associated with the ruling aristocracy and blonde-blue-eyed Nordic was seen as the most pure Germanic phenotype. This is why the Nordic countries suddenly started being seen as part of this superiority, even though they didn't have significant power themselves. They basically just passed the eye-test.

Hitler later made it a meme and here we are.

We are still heavily influenced by 19th century thinking because back then the roots of the modern world were established.

Its how nordics always operated. They would invade foreign weaker tribes, establish themselves in a prime position as the nobility refusing to mix with subserviant tribes. They would very slowly mete out privleges to select tribes to keep their loyalty and prevent rebellion. Up until the 20th century slavs, celts, and other "whites" weren't even regarded as equals. The germanic and celtic tribes we're doing this before Rome was even a major power.

It's hilarious how badly us Slavs got mogged through history. We are basically ethnic-tier and very Asiatic and Oriental in character. It's even more ridiculous that this chaotic character is now saving us from getting invaded by migrants since no one wants to come to our shitty countries, while Germanics might get race-mixed and extinct.

Slavic nationalists are the biggest copers though, clinging on to some random past victories where we won by our sheer size and barbarity and didn't really do anything noteable afterwards.

To be fair the slavs we're divided and mobbed by the Mongols, whom had the most efficient military organization at the time and also the whole of China's resources to fund their invasions. I think that massacre embedded in the slavs a wariness of foreigners and a fear of invasion. I agree it's pathetic to claim credit for other men's accomplishments but people are going to keep doing that shit.

Slavs in Poland and Kingdom of Hungary won against the Mongols and stopped them. They got mogged by Germans and Ottomans respectively though.

I know, I was mostly referencing what happened in russia. The mongols cut through 1.5 million people before their invasions we're ended by those slavic kingdoms in the north and the mamluks in the south. Poles still saved the austrians at Vienna, you'll always have that over the germans.
