I get killing other people and lying or really any other sin, but nobody wants to sui, its literally the last thing on anyones mind (except if youre a girl, female suicide is usually attentionwhoring gone wrong)

What are you meant to just like spend 50 more years suffering? JFL @ god tbh

Life is like an exam. You do good you pass you do bad you fail and if you shred your paper and walk out of class you insta-fail

Cause we are not supposed to win.

You don't necessarily go to hell if you do it, where do you get that notion from?

Wikipedia says you don't always go to hell for suicide.

In the 1990s, Pope John Paul II approved the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which acknowledged the role that mental illnesses may play in suicide.[14] Regarding the effect of psychological disorders on a person's culpability, the Catechism states that:

Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide.[15]

Despite the fact that historical Catholic doctrine (possibly influenced by the Baltimore Catechism which was used until the 1960s[16]) generally considered suicide to be a mortal sin, the Catholic Church rejected this conclusion with the introduction of the Catechism of the Catholic Church,[17] which declared that:

We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.

The Catholic Church defines suicide very narrowly to avoid the extrapolation that Jesus's death was a type of suicide, brought about by his own choices, and to avoid the idea that Catholic martyrs choosing death is a valid form of suicide. Instead, Catholics give praise that Jesus resisted suicide throughout his trials, demonstrating that no degradation is so great that suicide can be justified. Martyrs are honored for the same reason.[6]

Here, it's saying you can also avoid going to hell if you suicide by a circuitous route, like Jesus or the martyrs. So suicide by cop wouldn't count.

I see. Yeah, Islam, Catholicism, not sure about the others.

But there's nothing in the bible about it.
Jfl if you believe in any religion other than the religion of base

I believe in an afterlife but I’m not so sure about a heaven or hell. Think about the size of the universe and it’s constantly expanding as well. If there is a creator God then he is possibly too focused on creating more and more of the universe to care about humans he made billions of years ago. I believe he created us and left us here and he created reincarnation as well so he could allow a cycle go on and on and not have to worry about us.

Jesus didn't commit suicide, He just didn't react against the people killing Him. He also died for a greater purpose.

I used to believe Samson committed suicide and even used him as an example of someone in the bible who committed suicide and still got saved (he's mentioned in the book of Hebrews as a hero of the faith). But truth is, Samson also did it for a greater purpose.

Because it's a story made up by humans. If you become an hero, you will no longer be able to "contribute" to soyciety via your payroll taxes.

Apparently whoring around is less serious than killing yourself

I cant imagine that stacies will be suffering less than me in the afterlife despite basically having their cake and eating it too

JFL theres no justice

I'm just saying what Wikipedia said.

Samson committed suicide? Wasn't he was murdered by soldiers after a foid shaved his hair that was making him strong?

Also, I hope Yukio Mishima went to hell for his suicide. I plan to go there as well and meet him.

Otherwise so much people would sui, of course kings wants to people live and do something.

God is the sovereign master of all life, and we are but stewards. It has been entrusted to us and is not for us to dispose of. That would be an attack on God himself. If one rationally reflects on it and still goes through with it, they are committing a mortal sin and won't be saved. The Church has eased up on this though and they say you can be saved now if you sudoku.

Because religion is used to fearmonger people into slaving for the elites without resistance.

Life is like an exam. You do good you pass you do bad you fail and if you shred your paper and walk out of class you insta-fail
I have a big problem with this. From what I understand, the next life is supposed to be the all-important one and this life is supposed to determine your eternal destination. If that's the case and if the stakes are so high (eternity of heaven or hell is the highest you can possibly go), then why is life so brief and full of ways to fail that exam at every turn? Why would God make it so difficult? Why is life not longer and why don't we get second chances?

With eternity on the line, I would want to spend as long as possible in this realm to make sure as little as possible goes wrong for the next realm. In fact, if I had the choice, I'd live for billions of years and die when the universe died. Then if I go to heaven or hell, I really, REALLY deserve to be there, since I had literally all of time to make sure I don't fuck it up.

You don’t go to hell for it

I swear I would attempt to kill myself immediately if I knew suicide didn’t = going to hell

Life is like an exam. You do good you pass you do bad you fail and if you shred your paper and walk out of class you insta-fail
Yeah, but why did I get a harder test than everybody else? Shouldn't we all be getting the same tests?

Life is like an exam
Wrong. If life would be an exam, everybody would have the same opportunities/chances. This is the same reason why life is not a game. Because a game is fair an nobody is allowed to cheat. If you cheat you get disqualified.

In real life, some are born with many opportunities like chads and women, and some are born as ugly men with zero opportunities.

Bottom line: life is not an exam or a game.

The reasoning, from what I understand, is that everyone has different tests, commensurate with their given circumstances in life. So for example, someone born into great wealth will be tested with many opportunities to be generous with their wealth. To this person, wealth is their test in life.

Because life sucks for many men and after creation of religion they would want to go to heaven without waiting, but rulers needed these slaves alive so they did "fix" by making suicide sin

Hell is a fictional place.

That makes no damn sense.

And some people have different IQs

It actually does, tbh. There's nothing inherently contradictory there, as far as I can tell. Maybe you see something I don't. Those in
better circumstances have harder tests, so they'll fail harder. Some poorfag in a shithole dictatorship living with scraps won't be judged nearly as harshly as the dictator living in luxury.

Maybe it was put forth to keep slaves slaving.

Because the church dont wanted you to kill yourself, because that would mean less people to pay taxes, to work and to go to war.

Most of the answers here are incorrect or are coming from a lack of knowledge.

The real reason you go to hell if you commit suicide is because your human body still contains the sins (lust - sexual desire, wrath- anger, greed- desire for money, envy-jealousy, gluttony - food addiction, sloth - laziness, and accedie - depression). The body is the container for these sins and other bad emotions (anxiety, fear, etc). The goal of life is, to somehow or the other, overcome and transcend these sins so you no longer are encaged by your body and you achieve liberation. This can only be done in the human body by bringing and purifying the consciousness through the heart and mind. If you die and you still have shit to deal with, you'll have to deal with it in the hellish or ghostly realms, without another chance to work out your shit in human society for a long time.

This is why fasting yourself to death is acceptable as a route to heaven in some religions like Jainism. If you want to commit suicide then perform a fast on a special day of the moon first (full moon, new moon, Ekadasi). If that doesn't kill you, it'll purify bodily sin and you'll at least feel better and less suicidal. The world around you may not change, your karmas will still be there, but you'll feel better.

If someone commits suicide as a pure philosopher (they truly don't feel envy, suffering, and truly don't care for normie pleasures) then they can attain more pure realms after death (heavens were abstract meditation is favored like Brahmaloka - this is the only heavenly realm devoid of women in Hinduism). The other heavenly realms have women and are reserved for chads who bravely martyr themselves in battle. If you think you have even the smallest amount of personal shit to deal with, DO NOT commit suicide, just try to power through, have patience. Quit lying to yourself and figure out what you have to do

It's because people who run religions don't want their followers to try to get to heaven early.

Just fucking lol
I despise god and i will attack him in the after world he will pay for the life he put me through even if i would have to spent 10000 years climbing out of hell for the chance to have a shot at him

when you die your consciousness simply ceases to exist. heaven and hell doesn't exist.
answering the question, the only explanation is that self-murder still murder.

This is mostly correct. The goal of higher consciousness life (not just any life) is to achieve purity of consciousness. That's difficult to do when that consciousness is tethered to an animal body with basal instincts and primal tendencies. It's not so much the transcension of sin, since that's merely a spiritual classification of the animalistic side of human creature (capable of higher consciousness), but overcoming such primal tendencies. That is incredibly challenging for nearly every human.

Sounds interesting

Thing is though, man is made in God's image. In all the cycles of reincarnation (animal, plant, insect, whatever) only the human body (especially the human male body) is able to achieve liberation. God has the same form of a human male, and the human male is a special conduit.

It is true that sin is incredibly challenging to be purified. The Bhagavad Gita says that layers of sin - lust and anger - cover the body of the human being and pervert and weaken the consciousness. Buddhism and Hinduism flat out say to just give up lust and anger, just don't bother with it anymore, just sacrifice all sense pleasures (especially eating and cooming) if you want to achieve liberation. Animals' body-soul complexes are more covered by lust and anger than the human being's. Darwinian evolution (the idea that humans "evolved" from lower life forms like animals) is a Satanic lie, humans (especially human males) are made in the image of The Most High and have the special intelligence and willpower needed to free themselves from the clutches of illusion.

Judas Hangs Himself

1Very early in the morning the leading priests and the elders of the people met again to lay plans for putting Jesus to death. 2Then they bound him, led him away, and took him to Pilate, the Roman governor.

3When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the leading priests and the elders. 4“I have sinned,” he declared, “for I have betrayed an innocent man.”

“What do we care?” they retorted. “That’s your problem.”

5Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself.

I'm not sure you will go to hell.If you cant cope anymore you might be forgiven

>believing in hell
OVER FOR YOU BUDDYBOYO

yes but you won't get sodomized by devils there, Chad only. :feelsUgh:

I see. Yeah, Islam, Catholicism, not sure about the others.

But there's nothing in the bible about it.
Actually there is.

I remember either a character/person either named Saul or Samuel committing suicide in the Bible by throwing himself on his sword and if memory serves correct it is implied if not outright stated the biblical god still allowed him into Heaven.

I’ll have to locate the verse though to be sure obviously.

Edit: Found it!

Because God wants us to suffer. I mean that without a shred of irony. Islamically, God makes people suffer to test their devotion to him

Interesting. Gonna read.

Yeah, suicide is undoubtedly a sin. Your body doesn't belong to you but to God. But Jesus paid for all the sins of those who believe in Him.

Because it means you let the cucks and whores win.

Because God is evil.
