I've always been puzzled by why women work nowadays, that is outside of the home. Most women hate their job, and have shitty lives as a result of household chores piling up on top of work hours. They would be far happier caring for the home all day long because household chores is something they still have to do anyway. Economically, the income of the man is usually sufficient to guarantee a moderately comfortable life.

I have come to believe working as a woman started as a refusal to be stuck forever with a low-value man out of economic necessity. Women saw having their own job as key to being able to monkeybranch in case of dissatisfaction with their husband.

Sort of like how women use make up to give them more points on the look scale, they think jobs give them more points on the status scale.
