You know, I have a story about septum piercings. I don't know if it's true, but it would make sense, he was pretty based.
Thomas Jefferson, when suggesting non-lethal penalties for the crime of "unlawful carnal knowledge", suggested a different punishment for both of the sexes. Men convicted of a sex crime would be castrated. Simple as. But what about women? What if a woman were to drug a man and have her way with him, or perhaps abuse a young boy? They don't have balls to remove.
His suggestion was to have a ring driven through her nose, like that of a cow. A septum piercing, so that wherever she went for the rest of her life, anyone who looked at her would know exactly what she did.
Take this with a grain of salt, since I've never confirmed it. But it's a fun story, and Jefferson was based enough for it to be believable.
Merry Christmas, brocels.
