Serious WHY DO WE VALUE BEAUTY?

Why do we percieve beauty, whats the purpose of such a perception? , what evolutionary need does it fulfil? why is this phenomenon of perception held in such high regards? I mean it is not a tangible commodity, it is not in any way futile for life,yet a life devoid of it is woeful Is beauty inherently an artistic expression? if so do we consume it like the same way we consume artistic media but how can it be an expression if it is inherent.
what do we derive from beauty? is it pleasure?

Because of Symmetric Orders and certain colour schemes.

Lighttan skin is a beautiful skin Tone that implies that a person is outgoing and active.

Blue eyes have the highest rate of attraction in both males and females due to its cristal like spectrum.

Symmetrical faces are superior to deformed due to their perfect order. Most things are chaotic in nature but all things on an individual level are symmetrical.

White perfect aligned teeth imply superior dental care and give an individual a healthy look.

Muscular bodies apply a certain symmetry as well. Being shredded also shows attraction towards a persons self. It implies that a good physique is balanced with a good mental state.

i guess it probably has something to do with evolution and survival of the fittest. people don’t like fat or lanky people because they look weak, they want someone in good shape who could survive dangerous situations. unflattering faces, greasy hair, acne etc make someone look ill and unworthy.
