Exactly, like the logic of self-improvement is really this simple, you don't even have to looksmaxx if you think or know it's over, just focus on your health and well-being. For most people self improvement does help. However, many incels have unchangeable physical or mental attributes, such as being short asf or adhd, that severely limit any benefits that self improvement could bring about.

I've tried self-improvement only to be brutally beaten back down and reminded that no matter how hard I try it's never going to help.
They don't have energy to push forth over all the obstacles. Even to earn a mere 100k, it takes 2000+ hours of work. To hit a good solid 200k salary post taxes, 3000+ hours of work. Add gym maxxing, learn another language, you easily have 5000+ hours of grind to become a cultured middle class man.
Brutal same here. The few times I succeeded, it took dozens of failures to hit a single win. It is very tiring. Every single obstacle you destroy, another dozen appear that must be killed. Very annoying.
