I have Netfix and Amazon Prime, tbh I don't know why as I never use them and have actually just started organising all the movies and tv shows I downloaded over 14 years using Plex Media Organiser.

I much prefer downloading (or using a Kodi build) as it's free plus any rare or niche show you like (which Netfilx or Amazom Prime don't have) is only a download away. I use Prime more for the next day delivery, and Netfix I haven't I haven't used for ages so I may cancel now it's in my head.

I had subscribed two years ago. I wanted to watch a particular series ("Better call Saul" FYI) and this seemed like the simpler solution for me.

Then I watched other stuff and it was good cope. At the end it seemed like it was not a complete waste of money. I eventually cancelled because of lack of good content and a very creeping social justice undertone in the programs.

One thing you have to handle to them though is that they make it very easy to cancel your subscription.
