Serious Why do people obsess over any criticism nowadays?

The thing that confuses me the most about cancel culture is that every little movement sends shockwaves. Why does a big company care about some change.org petition signed by 100 random people across the world? I understand that if most of your fellow employees, indsutry, etc. hate you, you're gone. However, I don't understand why insignificant criticism is the end of world. Why don't people defend themselves from criticism anymore? What does it say about society when leftists are the most powerful voice in the world? Are we exceptionally apathetic after decades of propaganda, or is this just another example in history of the vocal minority affecting change while the majority do nothing?

People are too apathetic to care about or commit to anything anymore.
They take the easy way out and bow to the mob because even when they fight the mob they never win.

Also cancel culture is a good way for big companies to get rid of workers for any reason.

I don't see a stop to this in the US especially if Biden becomes president.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but my logic is that none of these movements are grassroots and the powers controlling them just want to incite divisiveness during Trump's presidency. If I'm wrong, we get four more years of this either way.

The thing that confuses me about demoralization is that when I was growing up in the US (currently 23), progressives were seen as ineffectual hippies. I remember when occupy wall street happened during my Freshmen year of HS, fellow teens were mocking these people for not having jobs and such. I didn't realize it, but I was just repeating conventional wisdom. I thought I was getting neoliberal programming to make me apprehensive of socialism, but now I'm seeing people say the socialists were behind demoralization. It's all quite confusing because it seems the socialists are the ones protesting now.

It ramped up during Obama's administration so I see no reason why it would let up when Biden is elected. If anything people would just be more emboldened with cancel culture.

The whole culture war really only became mainstream with Trump's run for presidency. I don't think it's a secret that Trump's whole platform was to MAGA and that the alt-right were instrumental in that. As a result, leftists were promoted from being college nuisances to agitators in Congress despite the fact that the Democratic establishment at the time was often considered right of center. The country became volatile as soon as alt-right and SJW entered the common lexicon. Maybe things stay the same under Biden, but I don't see how things get better under Trump when this is what he and folks like Bannon wanted. They are just losing the "war"

It's over as long as special interest groups IRL like the SPLC can keep shutting down any group they don't like online or offline by branding them as hate groups and having activists astroturf them posting racist shit to make them look bad and get them banned.

There is a precedent that now even advocating for men's rights in a successful way will get you killed, although at least if you died that way you stood for something.

If you are ever wondering how you could make it into higher realms of society let me know, as far as that is concerned upward class mobility is a lot harder than people make it out to be.

Deconstructing/destroying that which existed prior is almost always an appealing thing to the youth of all races due to the natural rebellion stage that comes with the teenage phase of life and its resulting powerful hormones but this type of destruction is simply the Jews very nature as opposed to the other races of mankind’s youth just being supceptible to the idea when presented to them in a slick and convincing package.

And it works especially well if you can convince the youth that they are doing something good and altruistic by replacing an outdated system with a supposedly better one.

Well Jews psychopathic predators that they are will use every advantage that they can get to obtain what they want so cynically using ignorant teenage rebellion to complete their goals is literally nothing to them.

There was an old HBO documentary or program whose name I forget where some interviewer asked a Jew why Jews were so hated and the Jew answered something along the lines of people hate them because it’s their nature to tear existing structures down because they’re not true and whatever else he may of said about this I forget.

The take home point however is that they are essentially human shaped termites.
