Really,it is more stupid as me as a child believing that some fat guy being able to fit inside a chimney leaving gifts under a tree or a fairy leaving money under my pillow for a tooth, ain't it more stupid to believe that you are going to a place for all eternity that may likely not exist living in a complete fantasy paradise, but somehow my stupid conservative parents believe so

Because people are scared of the unknown. Religion offers comfort in death and calms those who fear it.

I’m not religious but religion is needed tbh. The concept of heaven and hell is good because it keeps people fearful of degeneracy and the consequences of engaging in it.

It’s because people don’t like the truth. They don’t want to accept that one day everything comes to an end. When there loved one or relative dies they think of a God to comfort them. I can’t blame them because the truth hurts.
