Why do normies take pictures next to doors

I have noticed in pictures they obnoxiously will leave the door ajar next to them and stand in front of or beside it. Why is this? Is it a scale or point of reference?

maybe they take the picture before they go somewhere or take pic in proximity of door to pretend that they are outgoing and have extraordinary fun adventurous lives so they could subconsciously trick other normies on isntagram, facebook or whatever is it popular today and make them jealous.
