Do you ever experience that when you talk to somehow you tend to smile while the normie you talk to just holds their face completely still and serious? Giving you the "still face" or "death stare"?

I have experienced this all my life. It's like they are completely closed off from my feelings of anxiety. My face twitches as a result of it.

Do you think there is a dominance strategy with smiling? E.g. the person who smiles or displays more excitement is generally lower in hierarchy. An obvious example of this is how guys will never get excited when a girl talks, but girls will get very excited when a guy talks. They will more easily scream and have laugh spikes. I think smiling is a response when you cannot regulate hyperarousal as a result of feeling threatened or unsafe. I wonder if anyone researched the biology behind this.

It's mostly a result of wanting to appear disattached from the social effects of talking with a subhuman, plain disinterest... :feelsjuice:

Now if you're talking about foids, it's either disinterest or outright hostility at possibly being approached by a 5'4 balding ethnic; your below point is correct for Chadlites and above. :feelsclown:

It's so weird that they can just do this, like they have a button to go completely cold, especially women are good at this

It's experience in manipulativeness; the empathetic gender, of course. :society:

I get the opposite, constantly flashing there teeth at me like some kind of hissing rodent while I get told I look “ depressed” for just sitting there

I try to get emotional transference from girls. I stare at them in their eyes during the day, when I leave to home I automatically cry a little bit from interactions during the day. I assume everyone dissociates their feelings of sadness. I made a topic about this once where I hypothesize that most girls are traumatized

Absolutely relatable, I very often smile at people and try to appear as likeable as possible, while normies are much better preserving their cold, seemingly emotionless persona.

It may have something to do with NTness.

When I was young I was often told I stare at people and don't make facial expressions. I still struggle with that. I can only focus on 1 thing at a time so if I talk to people I tend to basically stare at them with undivided attention. It's not a good trait to have.
