I regret it a lot but I'm not sure why exactly that is. I used to think that being a neet and sitting in front of my computer all day was ideal and what I would do forever if given a choice but now I don't think I would do it ever again.
My time in NEETdom made me feel empty and think about suicide more often. Working is a distraction albeit it wears off because the monotony of the tasks makes you feel like you're wasting away.

It's just FOMO. Now, it's FOMO of not working, studying, engaging in social activities. Would You work, study or whatever You'd get FOMO of not having enough time for Your hobbies, vidya, sleeping or whatever.
You'd have FOMO one way or another. I have it too, everyone has it. Some people more often than the others. People always say that could they go back in time, they would do things differently, but in reality, they would end up all the same. I think it's better not to dwell too much on that. It'll just make things even worse.

Yeah, and it also reduces the feeling of uselessness considerably. I would always feel useless when I did that.

At first i was like you, then i started working. After you work for some time you will understand that being and incel you must neet to be happy. I'm neeting at the moment and i feel content enough, i should live like this until death.
Living with the bare minimum and playing games, watching anime while eating food that i like and drinking soda. That's the best i can get from this life, if you feel like you wasted time neeting that's because you can improve your life, thus indeed you'll waste time.

Neeting is fun for about a year then it gets too depressing, every day starts to feel the same.
Wageslaving isn't much better but it's definitly less depressing than neeting.

Exactly. You NEET as a way to escape from the world, we would never have gotten the desire to be NEETs if if wasn't for how we were treated by life. It was something that our experiences pushed us into, not something that we decided that we wanted to do. There's no such thing as freedom for us.
