I've noticed the same. I've ran across a lot of german tourists over the years and have listened to some german twitch streamers.
They use american slang and new age american terminology. its quite hilarious because most americans dont know jack shit about other countries (and don't care) except for maybe canada and the UK. and thats just a maybe.
They use our terms, know our culture, listen to our music, watch our movies, but we don't reciprocate.
If you listened to european pop music/dance music from the 90s to the early 2000s theres not that much american influence if any (if anything, during this time period Euro pop/dance music had an influence on american culture.. Nowadays if you consume their media you can already hear and see bits and pieces of american culture in it. sad...
