Why do foids constantly bring up their bfs/husbands to each other, is it a competitive thing?

When I had a job the women always brought up their boyfriends and husbands when they were in the break room, like my boyfriend wants to know what we're having for dinner or my husband and I are having a birthday party for our kid. Is it a competitive thing? Where foids try to boast that they have a chad? Back when I had guy friends they rarely mentioned the old ball and chain.
