why do black people go years without eplacing their smoke alarm batteries?

even after 10 minutes that constant beeping will drive me mad and i will either dismantle the alarm or replace the battery asap but on some black youtubers videos you can go years hearing the smoke alarm none stop.

I think they're just able to filter out sound better, and honestly, I'm kind of jealous of some blacks who are able to filter out sounds like these and go about their day or sleep throughout the night like it's nothing.

I run a large, loud ass fan in my room partially because I can't stand ANY sounds when I try to sleep. If I hear birds outside or if I hear water dripping, or something banging around in the HVAC system in my apartment, I cannot sleep at all.
