Half of the fucking game in story mode are scenes rather than gameplay.

Do people actually like watching this shit?

>play AAA story-driven game
>wtf why are there cutscenes

They've given up on the game aspect since 2012 now it's cutscenes this hyper realistic ray traced to rocks that.

Very true. I dont think the 12 year olds on here realize that it used to be actual gameplay. kek

Hideo Kojima is only interested in making interactive movies anymore.

So people consume goyslop while the movie plays

Because video games became widely accepted by soyciety, but to reach that point, they had to be made appealing to normies who have absolutely no patience or skill. Normies don't want to be challenged. They just want to walk from cutscene to cutscene and pretend they're achieving something.

I remember when the player got to do the cool shit and not have John player take over during cutscenes. This gen is cooked

To pander to normies

If it keeps going this way video games will basically just be interactive soap operas in 10 years :feelskek:

Normgroids wanna sit their and talk with their friend group about stupid shit while passively consuming.

Don't play AAA trash and you won't need to play movie games.

Some games need it some don't if the story is good I don't mind watching the cutscenes but sometimes i couldn't care less

Lack of innovation gaming wise.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a great example. I'm fine with some dialogue, but there's way WAYYYY too much. It's seriously a movie. This is the state of RPGs now, I guess.

Because most normalfags don't actually want to play games and just want long interactive movies

To subtly focus your attention away from the bad game design and normies glorify this 'absolute cinema' phrase. I want normies killed (in game).

Because NPCs don't require lunch delivery

Movies based on games are cringe

So people consume goyslop while the game plays by itself
Gamers swallow that gacha slop up and allow predatory practices as long as its some anime girl with big tits. Asia has saved gaming o algo

this is why i prefer games copying dark souls formula at least since those games have skippble cutscene just long elevators

i always skip that dnw tier material

i dont read a single word in text boxes either

I tried playing Hogwarts legacy but it bored me to death, the opening cutscene is fucking 6 minutes long

Since causals don't like to challenge themselves.

Why the hell do we no have a COD or far cry 5 movie yet

I felt like KCD 1 had even more dialogue, in both games I was just constantly waiting for the actual combat to resume and for Henry to stop being a fucking detective trying to figure out who slaughtered the village of Cumville

And the fucking “gaming” journalists like less gameplay

This. You can actually see this with player options decreasing from the early 2000s to mid 2010s in rpgs.
