Movies in them-self are mindless consumption. At least when reading a comic book you are actually making an effort. Normies don't want to put in effort into the comic-book sector. They just want the social aspect of watching a movie, and talking about it over social media, or at social circles.
As far as the theme of super heroes I find it to be pretty gay. It devalues regular day life. Superheros look like gods among men, and the human beings in the movies look too weak, and over reliant on these super powered beings. I don't like it.
I do like a good story though, and I like to hear of man triumph against his inner demons, or against some strong force like nature, or opposing armies. But the super-hero shit is just gay.
Normies tend to swim downstream, and go with the current. They have no intellectual will to scrutinize anything popular. They just roll with it. They'll throw their hard earned sheckles at anything that will help them stay relevant with their peers.
