It's impossible even for an average man to have the things that boomers regaled.
You hear stories about boomers being able to walk up to a corporation, go to the boss and demand a position. And then they got that position and supported a wife, bought a house and raised children doing a job that would be done by minimum wage immigrants today.
Due to immigration and the introduction of women en masse into the workforce, the price of labor has decreased so much that it's not feasible for many men to uphold the traditional masculine expectations that societies still enforce. Women still want dominant providers, boomers still think men should assume that role due to tradition, etc. It's not realistic.
And of course social expectations still come into play. Not only have women usurped men's social, political and economic power, but they refuse to relinquish the other massive advantage that they have which is makeup - it manipulates the biological expectations of men and women when women make themselves look like fertile goddesses through face paint and gives them too much power. Basically unless you are a chad you are expected to be a slave for none of the benefits your parents and grandparents got.
Instead, men are being placated with vapid 'copes' like pornography and video games, which are really just corporately-endorsed brainrot designed to extract as much money as possible. These men are victims, but are still expected to be agentic as if they haven't been hooked onto the legal and widely adopted equivalent of giga-morphine.
Feminism continues to gnaw away at any semblance of hope for many men. Even the men that don't understand that the blackpill is worsening at least have noticed a massive cultural shift in society. And the blackpill effects absolutely everything. The advent of technology is starting to cause mass moral degeneration on an unprecedented scale. Literally go on pornhub and the entire page is complete and utter psychotic brainrot - BBC, gangbangs, stepsis/stepmom. This is what normies watch now. A decade or two ago this would've been freaky fringe shit.
And this degradation of morals and hope comes with nihilism.

No point living in todays soyciety
Once you realize it was over right from the start then there’s no going back.
They think that the universe is obliged to give them a happy youth (happy relationship with a beautiful fun young girl, cool friends who call them every day and invite them to cool events, cool first job where everyone appreciates them). When they see that the real world is not a romantic anime where the underdog wins, they begin to hate the whole world. It's main character syndrome, and it goes away after a few years of living in society as an adult.
