It's not really a matter of age, IMHO it's over when you leave the education environment. I'm sure I talked to more females in a year at university than in the 14 years since I graduated. And that was in a university with 90% male students. Once you get in the workplace, with the anti-fraternization rules, all the females you spend most of your waking hours with are off limits, and none outside of work will stay in your presence long enough to accommodate to the disgust.
