I'm getting laid off next year and my job is the most pretty worthless bullshit I don't even care. I do the bare minimum, like 2 code commits a week, just enough to fix any major bugs. Otherwise I'm not doing SHIT.

My boss: "hey how's that project going"
Me: "great, all on schedule, no problems so far"
My Boss: "good to hear, keep up the good work"
Me: "yes, I'm on schedule to quit my job the day before the project deadline"

Sounds like the software job I was laid off from about a month and a half ago.

Most software jobs are a joke anyway, many will disappear once the economy tanks. I wish I had stuck with mechanical engineering. Maybe programming drones is a good alternative for us.

I thought it was a useful degree. The field certainly wouldn't be as bad as it is, though, if normies hadn't infiltrated our career field!
