This is why you shouldn't get involved in conflicts that have nothing to do with you. So many people have gotten shot, stabbed, jumped etc. doing shit like this. It's high risk, zero reward.
A lot of guys have a fantasy of being seen as the hero, but this is a much more likely outcome than walking away looking like a hero. Even if you don't get killed or get your shit kicked in, you're much more likely to just look like a busybody who stuck his nose where it didn't belong to everyone. Almost never will you walk away from the situation looking like the hero.
While I seldom ever saw eye to eye with my parents, one lesson that taught me is to not get involve in other people's conflicts. If you see some shit going down just walk away, you didn't see anything. Avoid people who start conflicts. Keep your mouth shut. Don't involve yourself in the lives of others in any way.
