I haven't gotten around to watching it. Don't know if I ever will, because quite frankly, it is a waste of time & money.
But if there is one thing about it that is absolute rage fuel, it is that "Adolescence" couldn't even get the age range that actually matters the most correctly. They picked a middle schooler to make legitimate incel issues look sophomoric, as the juxtaposition is clearly intended for the audience to view us like the juvenile delinquent. Middle school love is fake and irrelevant. It is high school and early 20s where relationships are the most impactful. The central theme depicted is also completely unrealistic, as the chances of a middle schooler going ER is significantly less likely to happen irl than a student in his last few years of high school, or a full grown adult in his early 20s after getting a reality check. Most people who identify as "incels" are easily within the ages of 18-35.
Another thing that worries me is that this show will more than likely cause more and more people to go down the incelosphere rabbit hole, resulting in a steady stream of fakecels & infilth-traitors invading our spaces at a moderate pace. This will cause more harm than good, as this demographic could easily outnumber actual incels who join said forums because they heard about us from "Adolescence".
