I think an India - China war is inevitable - although I would actually call the war for India. I think Russia will try to restrain China if it happens. The Corona virus outbreak has enraged Russia as they are suffering with particularly bad consequences due to the collapse in world oil prices. China is a paper tiger who sabre rattle out of fear - their military is little more than a colonial police force who's main credits are slaughtering their own people. The Indian army is to an extent a model of the British army - forged in the fires of two world wars which hit the ground running after independence and has a wealth of combat experience. It acquitted itself with honour in 1965 and 71. Despite its more dated British and Soviet equipment its still superior to much of the poorly manufactured domestically produced Chinese equipment. The Indian army fields some of the finest regiments in the world. They're also experts in high altitude warfare. They have a younger population, more internal cohesion and shorter supply lines to the front line. If India and China go to war it will be a bloody exercise but India will win with relative ease.
I rate central Asia as almost certain as well. Kazakhstan as a huge risk as well - the place is even more fragile than Ukraine being a critical buffer state - the place has been run since 1990 by the same man president Nursultan Nazarbayev. He is 80 years old - he might live another 10 years. He has good doctors but when he dies god knows what is going to happen. Yes he technically resigned last year but like with Deng Xiping in China he is still the power behind the scenes. The situation with Uzbekistan is troubling - both Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are awful regimes. Uzbekistan uses all that water to grow cotton in the desert and uses forced labour to do it.
God knows where China and Russia would be in the midst of that.
I also agree with his assessment that Turkey is seeking to dominate its geographic region and the US may allow them - just like the US may allow increased colonialism in Africa given just how awful the situation is there.
If you notice in Africa the Chinese are making serious moves - they want to use Africa as lebenscraum but the US Navy can stop that. The South China sea is a real flash point there. China - navaly speaking is an island - all of its sea access is patrolled by US carrier battle groups and US client states. The CCP are going to get desperate and do something stupid.
Egypt vs Ethiopia is going to be a very dicey situation. I agree - Egypt can't do anything about it.

China is certainly the real threat and everything they are doing right now seems to point toward some kind of major war in Asia. Or possibility China collapses from within, Soviet style, and then threaten nuclear war to get their way. China has got their asses kicked by every one of their neighbors. That's gotta be embarrasing and I think they want payback.
