This sentence is usually espoused as a form of virtue signalling, with the insinuation that ‘everyone is more or less the same,’ which is ironic because the true implication of this sentence is that if you are above average and still dissatisfied with what you have then those who are average and below must be utterly disgusting to you, so it is unintentionally the opposite of a virtue signal.

It is signalling to the world that you consider your high status as barely permissible and therefore everyone beneath you as unilaterally disgusting to behold. I despise this kind of fake humility.

any female guests here open your pussy to my dick pls thx

I knew a foid and also a 6'5 "chad" who would call themselves ugly just so that people would tell them otherwise. It's intentional and disingenuous

It's like telling a starving man that you don't really like the taste of your food. If you have some desirable features, then you should be grateful about that. I'm glad bragging isn't allowed here tbh, as what you've described would be exactly the type of shit we'd see.

Yes, it’s extremely common.

it's a humble brag

i hate when stacys complain about their appearance

The response from their more average friends shouldn’t be; “what are you talking about! You look great!” It should instead be; “so you must consider me and everyone like me to be totally disgusting then?” That would surely throw a spanner in the works.

It's plain conceitedness.

Bullseye.

exactly. They just fish for compliments to boost their ego even more. I hate it even more when stacies do it

"See, even conventionally pretty people can be ugly too," posts picture deliberately trying to make an ugly face or stand hunched over or letting belly flop out teehee

Any skinny female, no matter how unattractive, can literally make a youtube video of her "image issues" and its only a matter of hours before 30-50 whiteknights crawl out of the woodwork and tell how how bootiful she is.

Legit ugly guy makes same video, he gets like 16 comments in 4 years all telling he needs to "hit the gym bro" Get a haircut dude", "be confident. Women can smell insecurity" and other normie comments.

They don't want to assume that they are privileged

High IQ. Well done buddy.
They don't want to assume that they are privileged
The less they act it the less people will oppose their privilege. No one talks negative of a system broken in their favor. Or allows negativity to be spoken in it. UNLESS there will be some kind of gain for them. Like white privilege. Where you'll use reverse psychology to get more white privilege (social point uppage/ image protection) by being a white person with humility by saying white people suck.

They're trying to imply humility even when they are attractive is good for them. That no one is imperveous.
The false equivalence they are trying to make a concealing context over is that they will have privilege (even amidst their flaws because the good vastly outweighs the bad) unlike the ugly person. They're just trying to make a concealing context to hide the ugly truth from the ugly person. In exchange for the ugly person having a good feeling about them so they can vouch for them so the good looking person can have EVEN MORE PRAISE from more people. Ugly cliques and good looking cliques alike.
Virtue veneerers keep their value treasury secured.

I remember thinking about this when I was younger. How if they thought they were bad, what did they think of those below them?

TeeHee I'm insecure for Chad

It makes me realize how stupid they are.

I’m so fat, tee hee.

Yes, exactly - it should be taken as an insult rather than a sign of humility.
