I know this sounds ridiculous and it’s not true. But I swear man, just seems like happier people seem to be less smart overall, are often more religious, and believe more in silly superstitions “you get what you put out into the universe” type bullshit. And even smart happy people, yeah they’re smart. But they still just seem less aware if you know what I mean.
I know this isn’t true but it feels so true though. And the happiest people are the ones who haven’t experienced any hardships and got that free easy pass through life.
And it seems like depressed people see the world in a more clear perspective. And while you can still see the bad while also seeing the a lot of the good as well. It really does seem like depressed people are a lot better at understanding that there’s a lot more bad than there is good. And that ultimately we are simply apes driven by base instinct.
