It has been suffering from brain drain for close to 60 years now. Iran is the only major power there left. And euro powers have been dominant since 1650 or so. Iran isn't as powerful as you think it is - most of it is media hype and bullshit. Turkey is pretty powerful and basically a regional hegemon, same with Saudi as much as you might hate to admit it. Europe will shoot themselves in the foot if not already, the wave of nationalist and alt-whatever politics will turn them inwards and isolationist, while other powers have more ambitious claims through neo-colonial soft power. They will have greater leverage in world affairs, than countries like US and the increasing irrelevance cucked countries like the UK.

If the Saudis pivot towards the west culturally, they will go down the same path the west has. Only much faster. Turks have been fighting kurds for decades, and still haven't succeeded. The turks have an issue domestically with their economy as well. I don't expect much out of either countries. It took China 60 years to get where it is today, and it went through a violent cultural revolution that killed 60 million from famine. The mideast will need something similar to improve.
As for the population stuff, it doesn't really matter. Mideast governments have ignored their populations for decades with little consequence. If Russia, China or the US/Israel don't green light a revolt, it doesn't happen.
