I'm curious mainly because there weren't gyms in early america, so when did all this insecurity start?
what do you think of someone gymcelling in the late 70s to early 90s.When Hollywood started casting chads in everything. In the early 2000s and before, the top priority was casting good actors that are fit for the role which isn't the case any longer
I'm not into fitness so idk that much. I believe it was more of a niche back then, like for bodybuilders and athleteswhat do you think of someone gymcelling in the late 70s to early 90s.

core vs isolated? why these amplifiers/ terms to describe states of what and what?
The German/Jewish immigrant Eugene Sandow (1867-1925) was the first person to publically go on display for crowd fame and selling tickets and some say the first "known" bodybuilder". He was so famous Edison Pictures did a silent movie of him.
Sandow was influenced by Italian bodybuilders whom based their physiques on old statues of masculine frames.

Arnold Schwarzengger said he was his first influence.
Prior to that white farmers in American used to do feats of strength and gain muscles naturally. People from the 1800s considered gyms to be "cheating" as you has isolated muscle strength, rather than core muscle strength.
This "core strength" vs "gym strength" explains why a roided up bodybuilder might struggle with a TRX strap or cross-fit workout. Or they might sweat buckets as a brickies mate on a building site.
But before you gym-copers get too infatuated check your genetics first. Without mesomorphic genetics you might as well not bother.
Look like the guy on the right, it's over before it began.
Look like the (Mesomorphic) guy in the middle you have the Sandow, Schwarzengger Michelangelo "David" statue* mesomorphic build for the gym and its your genetic destiny (*based on a Jew btw).
Probably when they realised that women found muscles on men attractiveWhen did people start lifting to look better?

Much sense but why do they use the word core?Let me use the example of the roidhead bodybuilder, who then tried doing manual labour to explain.
In a gym where you do symmetrical exercises with weights that follow a set-movement to only work one muscle group at a time. For example bench press is weights which only work the chest, pectorial muscles.
Usually you do 10 bench press movements like below on a bench.
To work out the pectorial muscles.
Then you have other machines or exercises or squat racks to do other muscles groups in "isolation". (Just like how the bench press "isolates" the pectorial.chest muscles).
In the 1800s gyms were a new idea and were considered "cheating" because you were "resting" between exercises and only woring one muscle group at a time. This became known as "bodybuilding".
"Strongman" competitions, pre-dating "bodybuilding", used to be considered a show of strength to prove you worked hard graft on a farm, on a construction site or steelmill. Because unlike "bodybuilding" farmers had to work all their muscles at the same time without resting for long periods of time. Imagine manually throwing hay bales onto the back of a horse cart, or dragging horses by a rope, or manually lifting steel girders, lintels with no rest.

The concept of "core strength" is that because bodybuilders are "isolating muscles" with smaller groups of exercises, rather than working ALL muscles at the same time they are/were cheating. If a bodybuilder tried doing manual labour he couldn't as he hasn't got the natural strength.
Like the bodybuilder who twisted his torse while lifting bricks he was tired within 90 minutes of work as he was only used to do sit ups rather than.
Don't get me wrong doing deadlifts will help you condition your body for some strength but not all.
Makes sense?

In the 50's it started to be common puplication to advertise "brutes" bulllying framecels over access to foids. This took a few decades to have a trickle down effect before it became the standard desired type in Hollywood.
Erm I don't like repeating myself but

The word core though refers to your Solar Plexus.
As a tangible experiment that explains the physiological, psychological and physical link where exercise stems from your "core strength" (Solar Plexus strength do a plank exercise for extended periods of time.
It is said that if you can't do this simple exercise you are weak and not in tune with the 3 ps of physiological, psychological and physical link.
Men who worked farms had great core strength, principles and dedication.
Whereas bodybuilder in gyms could workout without core strength whether physical or metaphysical.
Someone call Trading Standards for false advertising.
Charles Atlas (the Mesomorph) is frauding that rake thin, high metabolism, wet noodle armed Ectomorphs can gain muscle mass!
