If people see you approaching a bunch of women and getting rejected, that's a huge failo. He's also right about how asking out girls in your social circle carries the highest risk. I learned that the hard way. Also if you're friends with a girl and ask her out or otherwise make your interest in her known and she rejects you, most of the time she's going to be awkward and distant with you from that point on. Also even if you do it privately, chances are she's going to tell everyone in the group about it. Your reputation matters, and this shit damages it severely. I had to learn all this shit the hard way....
