He'll almost certainly do badly in SF, but due more to the preponderance of executives and high-rollers than anything. Try Berkeley for the Bay Area - it's more propaganda-saturated and brimming with suggestible college foids.
I'll second a lot of what I've seen here, especially Seattle and Portland - try the latter, without question. As for the Midwest, even the most cosmopolitan of bughives like Minneapolis still have pockets of good ol' boy shitkickers and the sluts that love them - Trumpchad will do fine here.
As for my own suggestions, try some uniquely degenerated liberal arts college towns and study progsluts in relative isolation:
