Some say it's to get married and have kids. But is it really? From what I've seen and read it's a miserable existence in this day and age.

As I edge close and closer to ending my life I ponder this question. To me it seems that the answer is doing whatever it is that makes you happy whatever it maybe.

But some of the things that bring happiness to us can be quite destructive so I'm not too sure. What do you think?

That's also true but many people who've been hated by the society have achieved great things. However it's up to debate whether they were truly fulfilled and satisfied with their lives when they died

The meaning of life is to be constantly bullied and to know that there is no one on the other side that cares or protects you. You are alone and you by definition are the lonely creation of the being called ((God))

There is no inherent meaning, and it isn't how you make it out to be. We are a bunch of insentient particles jumbled together that by an improbable chance, managed to create systems that ultimately led up to life in the right time and the right place, now stuck with the consequences of it succeeding.

Isn't it weird how life as we know it is just atoms with no real thought?

Our thoughts likely being predetermined minutes before we actually thought it by neurons built on these particles, our feelings not truly being spontaneous, our lives most likely chosen for us billions of years before we were born by some random reaction of a few particles; just us even thinking about what the meaning of life is and having an existential crisis about it is really just a bunch of particles within a system making us feel this way, we are a large system of particles deciding to hurt the consciousness that formed out of it with these thoughts just because.

People say that how is it possible when the chances are extremely slim, that there must be a god who created all this, but people underestimate how long our universe truly existed. Our universe is about 14 billion years old, and we don't know what was "before" this universe, it isn't surprising that there would be a good chance of life existing, and clearly that chance worked out.

I feel as if this question cannot be answered in the modern day & age tbh

To put it simply, everything about this world we exist is essentially functions in the most "unnatural" way or sense possible: We have no sense of "brotherhood" in nations anymore, we don't work towards a collective goal which betters the overall condition, and instead we live a life with little to no meaning sadly.

You are correct, a lot of what does bring us "happiness" is merely just copes(such as drugs, vidya, porn, eating, etc.) which allow for us to get a temporary feeling of satisfaction, which only leads us to feel more depressed down the line.

In reality, life is a series of chemical reactions: As such, it is about maintain these in an equilibrium whilst also having some emphasis on achieving something spiritual, which can be tied to the material.
