I recently was scrolling through ac shadows review most of them said its a good game to look at but boring one to play its best enjoyed when you have podcast or music listening in the background. What is this logic why would i play a game which requires me to listen to a podcast while playing to fully enjoy it.And the worst thing is normies are actually playing it like this

I play vidya like that too tbh, its nice to have some background noise on while you're gayming

imo if you need soycast or music to enjoy games. Then game is heavily flawed and has failed to immerse you

Depends on the sort of game, if it has a solid gameplay loop, isn't bogged down with story, and isn't something like a TCG that requires a lot of linguistic thought to play I don't see why not to multitask and listen to something on the side. In the case of something like an AC game that is heavy with dialogue and tries to be somewhat immersive and cinematic I would agree that it's a failure of design if you find yourself wanting to listen to something else instead of focusing entirely on the game

I only do it during laborious and repetitive parts of games like mining in Terraria or just walking during the beginning portions of New Vegas (which has a literal built in music/podcast feature embedded into it through your Pip Boy’s radio) but I wouldn’t do it when playing something like Metal Gear Solid or something like that

It means game is so shit and boring that they need to occupy their minds to not die of boredom. I felt same way when was playing dogshit Ghost of Tsushima but some moments made me so mad that it turned boredom into anger and then made me Alt+f4 and uninstall that trash woke creation.
Honestly only game that i would put some music/podcast would be Warframe since it's a repetitive game but you want to achieve some goal during farming so it's not that boring.

i do this shit only when game dev

To get maximum pleasure by stimulating all the senses

I do it and when im tired of hearing the same music over and over again

I need to goon while goyiming

Some games, especially driving simulators, are fun but there are times during gameplay when it drags, so I sometimes put on music in the background too. Not often though.

I did this when I was 14. I played Doom Eternal (56%er game) while listening to Casiopea. Casiopea is good, but Doom Eternal is a bloated fucking mess of a game.

Depends on the game. I play old games often that have the same looping music and shit sounds so I'll listen to some dumb Youtube stream in the background.

I suppose almost any game is tolerable if you're not even paying attention.

Before college, I had never seen guys playing "Call of Duty" while listening to loud music at the same time - and I would still lose to them!

I only really ever played japanese single player slop with top tier OSTs, no need for added music

Fried dopamine receptors

I can’t do either for long without getting bored quickly

It makes gaming more engaging I get bored easily if id have music to listen to while playing or a video in bakcground

It's like adding seasoning or spice to your food the food all ready taste good but adding mayo will make it better especially when you are on a grind streak
