I think it's different for everyone.
I voted for late teen years because it's the sweet spot where you already have enough freedom and mobility to do what you want but it's still not that burdened with adult shit yet. It's also the physical prime for most men and you still have some leeway with fucking JBs.
My childhood was ok but childhood is too limited. You have to follow your parents' lead in pretty much everything and can't really do what you want.
For me personally? My childhood and teen years were the best. I was ignorant of this harsh reality and felt at peace with the world.
For normies though its probably 20-28. Those are the prime years for partying and fucking. Your testosterone and libido is stable and at its peak then. Once you hit 30 its downhill from there.

How old are you? 20-28 is a very long period, tons of shit changes between those two ages. At least this was my experience.
At 20 my life was pretty similar to when I was 18 or 19. At 28 my life was pretty similar to now.
I think the early 20s/late 20s division is fair, the mid twenties are a checkpoint. After 25 you're not a "young adult" anymore, you're just an adult.
So far, the only genuinely enjoyable period of my life was my early childhood because my innocence was still intact and there were no responsibilities. I had the most "freedom" from age 15 to around now but it doesn't have much value when you feel like shit all the time.

I'd say childhood because you're free from the struggle of the sexual domain. Teenage is great for some but terrible for others, I think on average the joy that some feels doesn't make it up for the shit the rest has to go through.

I'd say it's late teens for most normies. That's where they get to experience the freedom of adulthood (sex, partying, drugs) without worrying about the responsibilities (jobs, bills, debt) of it. During those years their bodies are at a top shape and they don't have the bitterness and the "been there, done that" attitude that probably comes with age, everything is kinda new and cool.

I would say young adulthood, 20-24. It's the best time for being a neet since you most likely have finished school then, if you don't study on university. I'm only 18 yet though so I'll see it with my own eyes in any case.
