Polluted air and water, poor hygiene, overcrowding in cities, no proper roads and footpaths, shitty wages and high prices, little recreation compared to the west. Just a horrible quality of life overall

In theory living in a third-world country could combine the positives of trad way of life, like closeness to family and community, arranged marriage, religious devotion, women expected to not be whores, etc. While also having many advances such as modern medicine, plumbing, electricity and internet.

Unfortunately that's usually not the case. Most third-world countries have become overpopulated and heavily urbanized which leads to shitty (often literally) and dehumanizing living conditions. I blame this on the Green Revolution which allowed low IQ farmers to breed like rats while also forcing them to move to cities because farming became unfeasible to live off of for most. Then people in the cities have to work either in dangerous factories, degrading sweatshops or become beggars and thiefs.

The best third-world countries are small ones with mountainous terrain (this makes mechanized farming very difficult) such as Nepal, Bhutan, Peru, Bolivia since they aren't overpopulated and urbanized due to retaining the trad farming lifestyle. In a way these countries are even better than even the most developed countries like Norway, since life is more fulfilling albeit much less comfortable. Though they must be like 1% of the world population so it still takes winning the lottery of life to be born there.

Most shithole countries have all those things, but only the elite can afford. 90%+ of the population can only dream of it. In my shithole (Brazil) an entire month of minimum wage is barely enough to buy a cheap Zara purse, pay health insurance and eat a couple hamburguers. In actuality, rent, food and bills alone takes 90% of it. A wagie's dream is owning a moped so they don't have to take public transportation, which is crowded, and when they do buy their moped (in 30 installments) they realize they either get it robbed, or they realize they can't foot the gas bill. It is ridiculous.

People call any place that is uncomfortably below their standard of living third world countries.
