This episode takes place sometime far into the future since life like full body virtual reality is shown it also just so happens that Rob is the Co founder and Technical Officer of a company that specializes in developing ultra realistic virtual reality mmo second life sim games called Callister Inc. For Breaking Bad cells the actor playing him is Jesse Plemons he also played Todd.
Sole Passion
For Rob the game he is developing called Infinity isn't just his job its also his only cope and outlet. When he isn't getting bullied in the workplace by normfaggots its these walls and these two monitors that he spends his time around, he lives in the same apartment his company is located in so his life consists of taking the elevator from his wage cage to the neet cave. The whole episode is a big omage to Star Trek and Rob is a giganerdcel for it so he has this heavily modded dev build of the game that he keeps offline where he spends his time offtime ldaring.
Workplace Dynamic
As you can see its a typical office cage albeit with some modernfag accents also the foid at the front desk is a complete bitch. "Bob here is the hardware and I'm the shiny frontend" James Walton ceo of the company and faggot sitting on Robert's desk is a mtn statusmaxxed asshole who needs to constantly remind bob where his place is. The only person who shows him any kind of respect for his position is the Curry who works under him. Except this new foid Nanette who admires his "sublime coding".

As I said earlier he has his own build of the game and this is where he gets to play out his fantasies he is a god here with dev mode enabled and everyone is at his mercy.
