Well the 90´s and early 00´s was my perfect childhood so it was basically paradise on Earth it was the perfect combo of technology and fun, back then you wouldn´t see every kid with a cellphone and they weren´t dressed in fancy clothes with fancy haircuts/hairstyles to look like adults like kids are today, back as a child I had patches on almost all my pants from ripping them while playing outside, we played with sticks, used our imagination I never see kids do this anymore.
And technology was so innocent we had games like PS1, PS2 and old school PC games, Nintendo Gameboy Color but we balanced the technology with playing outside, drawing, playing with Yugi-Oh Cards, Beyblades,trading Pokemon cards etc.
Childhood Was Paradise and I feel like the being a child in the 90´s to early 00´s was the last good era for children and of course also times before that like the 80´s. Nowadays everything is all about technology and every kid have a smartphone and dresses in fancy clothes like adults that aren´t meant to be played in and have fancy hairstyles, 2 weeks ago I even saw a 6 year old girl take a selfie with her smartphone in a grocery store kids aren´t kids anymore.

Same here man same here. The peak of Disney Movies, 80's Cartoons reruns, Saturday Morning Cartoons, The 16 bit console war Snes vs Gens. Ah man those were truly some magical years. Too bad this forum is full of babies and kids born 1993 and later. If you're born 1992 and earlier you'll likely know what the golden 90's is like.
I can remember eating my favorite cereals while watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, I would eat Cap'n'Crunch, or Fruity Pebbles or Chocolate Peebles,Applejacks or Cookie Crisp as I watched Rugrats,Doug,Hey Arnold,Rocko's Modern Life,Ed Edd'n'Eddy,Cow and Chicken,Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff girls and so forth. I can remember coming home from school and firing up my Snes and play Super Mario World, Super Mario All Stars, Donkey Kong Country 1,2, and 3, The Legend of Zelda A Link to The Past,Megaman X,Megaman 7, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and so much more. I can remember watching Disney movies like Lion King, Aladdin,Cinderella,Snow White, Beauty and The Beast and so much more Disney movies with my family as a kid. I can remember finding girls icky and gross and not caring about their opinions of me or getting my dick wet. I can remember having so many friends to play with back then, those were some magical times. Sigh.

You and I lived in very different places in the 90s. Of course, nothing like it is today, but the 90s is when people were even talking about the idea of being PC (to say the world "PC" aloud nowadays is very un-PC, because it suggests that there was ever a choice). The fragile snowflake who can't hear anything that hasn't been approved by the elite without having a breakdown exists because in the 90s early millennials were indoctrinated in schools and by the popular media of the time (MTV) in what would become SJW orthodoxy.
There were definitely brands and conspicuous consumerism in the 90s. The cool kids in my school wore specific clothes, and the clothes you wore showed your social status. Shit like Abercrombie & Fitch was the thing for normie/popular wealthy kids. Also there were "goths" who wore Marilyn Manson t-shirts and wore all black and dyed their hair and painted there nails and maybe carried an "ironic" pink vintage barbie lunchbox or whatever, they kinda pretended to be unpopular but they were just another group of Brads and Beckies really.
In any event, they were "better" insofar as there was less visibility into it. The internet was a weird thing for dorks, so the normies just had their little area of influence in which to be insufferable. You could be a big shot in your school, but in the end who really cared? Now turbocucks spread their cancer across the globe at any time from their phone. So, it's worse now, but the same basic dynamics were at play in the 90s. It was quieter, at least.

Overrated, the 90's had a very dreary vibe, the fashion sucked. I prefer the 80's, as it was a much more magical and aesthetic time. However, I really enjoyed the Hasbro Star Wars figures from the 90's

Men were more masculine in general. I used to look over my shoulder a lot and be prepared for being attacked physically for no reason when I see a group of 18-25 year olds out and about.
Now I don't even have that problem and now I feel sad watching how most in that age range are soy.
