Regional Practices
A woman should be treated in keeping with the practices of the land she comes from.
The women of Madhya Desha (modern day cow belt ie. Gangetic planes) are generally noble and pure in conduct. They dislike kissing, scratching and biting.
So do the women of Bahlika (Afghanistan and Tajikistan) and Avanti (Madhya Pradesh), though they have expectations of variety in sex.
The ladies of Malava (Rajasthan) and Abhira (Harayana) give importance to hugging and kissing, also scratching, biting and sucking. They can be brought to a climax with slaps, but one must not wound them.
The women of the land between the Indus and the other five rivers (Punjab) like oral sex.
Those of Aparanta (Maharashtra) and Lata (Gujarat) have intense sexual impulses and moan softly.
Those of Kosala (East UP) and the kingdom of women (Kingdom of women ie. Strirajya was in Afghanistan) harbour extremely fierce sexual impulses. They like to be hit hard and prefer the use of dildos.
The Andhra women love sex and are gentle by nature, but have dirty tastes and coarse habits.
The women of Maharashtra (modern day Maharashtra) like to use all the sixty-four arts. They also enjoy rough and obscene talk and are quick to take the initiative in bed. The women of the City are the same, but they reveal this only in private.
Dravidian women (Tamil Nadu and Kerala) moisten very slowly when stimulated during sex.
The women of Vanavasa (Maharashtra tribals) have a moderate sexual impulse. They can tolerate everything, but they hide their bodies and laugh at those of others. They also shun men who are low, vulgar and rough.
The women of Gauda (Bengal) are loving, soft-spoken and have delicate limbs.
Suvarnanabha says that the individual’s nature is more important than the regional practice, which matters less. It should also be understood that practices, costumes and pastimes follow each other from country to country over time.
Among the embraces and other things here described, those which increase passion should be used first and those which provide variety only later
