For me it's this one:

Genesis 2:22 KJV And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man

Nothing to do with the rib part, it's just very hard to believe that women were actually directly created by God instead of being some kind of demonic spawn or corrupt version of man made by Satan. But God was also the one who created Satan anyways so it gets a bit easier to accept it.

Idk I am not a Christian but I think the bible is interesting.

I mean within that same story it shows that all sin, the original sin, comes from women. God has shown he can also create evil things.

I didn't buy the whole "virgin pregnancy" thing

The fact that demons still roam around

The part where it says Jesus (aleyhi salam) rose from the dead.

That’s probably one of the most supported parts with tons of evidence.

where Job gets fucked over by God repeatedly but does not become bitter and vengeful

God's character in the Bible is what i have the most difficultly believing in.

God is supposed to be all knowing all powerful always present being and yet he gets mad (why would something with such power even need emotions?) at Adam for doing something he(meaning God) not only knew Adam would do but also that he designed Adam in such way that Adam would've been naturally curious of everything.

And then there's problem of Evil and the fact that in the old testament God clearly said he created both Evil and Good (which was later changed in Christianity) and virgin pregnancy and satan and quality of existence and yada yada.

To me what i picture as God isn't something that's in the Bible, what's in the Bible is a very human like being with very human like standards and sometimes emotional outbursts, a something that is all powerful and exists in every corner of space and time would have 0 reason to behave that way or even behave any way at all.. if God exists at all i doubt it's something that cares about some monkey creatures on some minuscule rock floating in Boundless space.

There is no real evidence of this. He has yet to rise from the dead.

the fact that it might be tampered. Same with the Quran or any holy book that’s old. Isn’t it kinda weird how these books could be sneakily changed at any point and nobody would know? Crazy shit

That’s one of the most legit well recorded things that happened with his crucifixion (there’s multiple sources both Jewish and Roman that record that crazy shit about him leaving his tomb)

The Qur'an has never been once changed at any point. There are many people who have memorized it in its entirety and if one were ever to attempt even a minor change, it would not go undetected. I actually know a 16 year old boy who had memorized it at 13. Which is impressive as he is the only kiddo I know here who's done that. He has a good jawline too, so I can understand his motivation to memorize it. :p

Having said that, earlier people were always filled with ignorance. The testimonies of those are people are not trustworthy. As you know the Bible for instance has been rewritten many times. I am not including the Torah as it is included in the Bible as the Old Testament.

Like I said, his time hasn't come yet but one day it will. I don't think we will get to see it sadly enough.

talking donkey part

talking donkey part
An atheist friend told me the same thing. I mean, I get the humoristic aspect of it, but for a God who spoke the whole universe into existence, making a donkey talk seems like child's play tbh.

Tbh. What about the tons of witnesses?

I have heard about that memorization thing. Mogs me. Meanwhile, in the west, 13 yo kids are memorizing their list of how many boys they already been with. But it's in the bible that apostasy would come in the last days and things would get worse.

The fact that jews are the chosen people and that they will make the world better inspite of how evil they are.
Where it's written that they'll make the world better? Jesus will, not the Jewish people.

The purpose of the Qur'an was to restore whatever previous stories from the Bible - and therefore, by extension, the Torah - were corrupted. This is why there are so many similarities between the Abrahamic religions as they are called. Those witnesses are not reliable, no matter the quantity. People also say that Jesus (peace be upon him) was born on 25 December but this is also a lie. It was made up to persuade the pagans to convert to Christianity as they had their own big celebration on that day. By merging the two concepts, we got Christmas. Christmas wasn't celebrated for the first time until centuries after Jesus' (peace be upon him) passing. I learned about this when I attended a Catholic high school and this is what I was taught in history classes.

Yeah, it is beyond me how people can memorize it. But, difficulty is relatively decreased since the Qur'an's lines always rhyme with each other. I'll give you some examples later if you respond to this.

I don't know what it's called in english
But it's added stories to Daniel's book from the old testament
Daniel kills a dragon by feeding it some disgusting cake or something
The part where it says Jesus (aleyhi salam) rose from the dead.
I will pray for you

They are in fact the chosen people of god.
What they don't tell you at church is that god is actually the devil.

JFL at thinking foids keep track

You would like the ancient Greek religion where the first woman was made by Zeus to punish human men. It is of course made up, like the Bible. Now science gives you the accurate account of what actually happened. Though it doesn't explain sex we could have all been hermaphrodites that would have still worked. Many mysteries of life to discover.

The part between the covers

There is no real evidence of this. He has yet to rise from the dead.
There actually is. It’s not proof but there is supportive evidence.

The most interesting to me is Paul. He went from being a persecutor of Christians to being a leading apostle. He made this change very suddenly and that implies to me he saw something or at least believed he saw something very incredible.

Isn't evidence and proof one in the same?
No, not at all. Think of a court case. All have some type of evidence, doesn’t mean all cases are proven guilty.

Right. Well in Dutch it would be the same thing. Proof means bewijs but evidence also means bewijs. As you can see they are the same words. Either way I am not a scholar so I cannot say much. All I know is that the Qur'an was sent to restore the corrupted texts - today's Bible and Torah due to centuries worth of rewrites - and if it's not in there, it didn't happen. You can basically see it this way, it's the Word of God versus the Word of Man. I don't know about you, but I pick the Word of God which is the Qur'an over the Word of Man which is Bible/Torah.

not really added like that
It was books that didn't make it into the modern christian protestant bible
But I got a special edition bible with those books/scriptures
but it is in the orthodox christian bible and I think in the catholic too
It's a book that didn't make it when they chose the canon

It was about the prophet Daniel killing a dragon

The Bible was written by men well after Jesus lived. It's dumb, modern science has disproven the bibles origins of humans with evolution.

Faith means trust something without proof. That's bullshit.

It's Santa Claus for adults.

There are a million other reasons, but those are a few.

The part where it says man cannot lay with lolis of culture
oh wait...

The part where he turns water into wine.
Actually, the whole bible is unbelievable

Turning water into wine seems pretty easy when compared to healing the blind and the crippled. Or raising the dead. Or to speaking the universe into existence for that matter.

I didnt put much thought into that post.
But you reminded my of how he healed the blind guy by spitting into his eyes or something and rubbing mud into them.

Jesus was an asshole. I guess it was to test his “faith”

If you were blind, would you refuse to be cured just because the cure involved someone spitting into mud and smearing it into your eyes? I sure as hell wouldn't.

in some religions they believe that women were a curse placed on men by the gods. Checks out tbh

Ok that’s a good point.
Seriously the hardest thing for me to believe from the bible is all of it.
But i will say, the coolest part of the bible was when Jesus helped the fisherman get all the fish out of nowhere on the Sea of Galilee. I liked that part as a kid.

Also Moses was really cool since he did a whole bunch of super things and he split the sea that one time.

For me the coolest part of the bible is when Jesus died for my sins so I don't have to go to hell and pay for them myself.

But I also like some other parts such as Jezebel being thrown out the window and eaten by dogs, the guys who made fun of the bald prophet being slaughtered by bears and Jesus calling out the Pharisees as the hypocrites they were.

lol i just watched a documentary about the ancient torah. to make it short: Israelites are just canaanaties that started worshipping a eagyptian/midian god (jhwh). Genesis was added later in bablonian exile. jfl at taking it literally
