I was raised Lutheran, but I am not religious at present and never really was (Atheist by default). However, I firmly believe "the death of God" to have been a calamity out of which the modern world is trying to stagger drunkenly and ineffectually. Religion is necessary to prescribe behavior and secular morality is a dogshit sham.
I am hoping for a "revelation" and to acquire a faith, likely Christianity or Islam, but the materially-oriented part of my mind still stands in opposition to it. I have limited time available to me to delve deep into theology privately and generally dislike "communities" - hopefully I'll be able to look into things a little better in the years to come.
