What is this generation’s obsession with rap music? I never understood the appeal.
Millennials were also obsessed with rap as it was the most dominant form of music in the US since the mid-90s. It was pretty much all that the kids in junior high and high school listened to and I graduated from high school in 2002.

It’s what the culture pushes now, so everyone follows. Most people don't care about the actual message in music anymore, as long as it's trendy and shit.
