Sorry for the late reply, I fell asleep. And Yes, all other sites were working. YouTube is back to work, the hackers may have finished their work.

The SSL cert probably expired. You could have used http:// instead of https:// or tried cleaning your browser cache or something.

Either youtube forgot to renew their certificate or there's MIM attack (someone else redirecting youtube.com to their own malicious server). If I were you I would not access Youtube until the browser no longer gives that warning.
