Since a significant fraction here seems to advocate traditional marriage, or even reducing sexual activity to it, why make a difference between a traditional husband and betabux.

Traditional marriage required men to give a, usually lifelong, commitment to a woman, a certain material status and providing for her and children, giving them all required money and material goods. A traditional husband always bux. Under sexually restrictive orders, one night stands, unapproved relationships outside marriage, or alpha chad bed jumping were strongly discouraged or even illegal. The alpha that fux, and the PUA, were true villains back then, especially when no reliable contraceptives were available.

Betabux is an expression for someone not good enough for alpha adventures, for high school proms, parties and nightlife, but for providing like a traditional husband. According to this, there has been a fluent transition between betabux and "ideal husband" in traditional societies, with enforced monogamy. Even in strictly patriarchal societies, where women are treated as property, not every man will beat his wife into submission. Modern, liberal western societies still have macho men, bullying their wives, although it is officially disapproved and punishable. Even a violent macho can be cucked, in the original meaning, and is probably not unlikely to be. Not to mention that this kind of men usually have affairs with plenty of other women.

It sounds to me like that kind of traditional husband is not real in most cases, hasn't been in the past and is not today in countries like Saudi Arabia. In fact, he always comes in different variations.

Coming to the Incel problem: it is mainly that they can't get any partner, neither "slut" for one-night-stands, nor good and faithful wife. Not that a potential wife will be a "used roastie". My impression is, that glorification of sexually oppressive societies is just an understandable reaction out of frustration, rather than a serious approach to get better chances. Except one goes so far to -seriously- advocate women as property, wives selected by government or family, or sex slavery. I think only few are serious with this, and most could simply be changed by having a chance to get laid. I bet if promiscuous sex was more evenly distributed, "Brave New World" style, most had little problems with it. Legal prostitution or sophisticated sex robots could greatly ease the pain. Current promiscuity is "winner takes it all" principle, while the betabux/husband choice of women gives also men outside the small alpha elite a chance. Of course with all the downsides that come with the beta mating choice of women. Perhaps for this reason, a traditional husband is idealized, who has authority, and possibly uses force, to get rid of these downsides.
