Sin is lawlessness based on God's standards:
1 John 3:4 says: "Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness."
Sin isn’t just a mistake — it’s rebellion against God’s rule.

And all who’ve sinned, even once, fall short of the glory of God:
Romans 3:23 says: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
All means literally everyone. Fall short means you miss God's standard.

Anyone who sins becomes a slave to sin — it owns you:
John 8:34 says: "Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin."

Sin has put you under Satan’s authority, not God's:
Ephesians 2:1–2 says: "You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world."
Living in sin = obeying Satan.

Sin requires death:
Romans 6:23 says: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Those who do commit sin must be punished, but nobody can pay the debt of their sins.

Which is why you and I were bought at a price - to free us from this debt:
1 Corinthians 6:19–20 says: "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body."

You were not redeemed with silver or gold, but with Jesus' blood:
1 Peter 1:18–19 says: "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed… but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."

And Jesus’ sacrifice broke Satan’s grip over us (humanity):
John 12:31 says: "Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out."

Through Jesus, your debt is paid and you are sealed with the Holy Spirit:
Ephesians 1:13 says: "When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit."

And as believers, you have authority over Satan and his spiritual companions:
Luke 10:19 says: "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."
And that authority is given to only believers and the power comes from the name - JESUS CHRIST
Refer to Acts 16:18 and Mark 16:17 for evidence that the power comes from His name.
Refer to Acts 19:11 - 17 for evidence this authority is only given to believers of Christ.

Judas gave himself over during his betrayal of Jesus — and Satan entered him:
John 13:27 says: "As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him."

We can still repent and be forgiven — but that doesn’t mean keep sinning:
Romans 6:1–2 says: "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means!"

Jesus died to ransom you from sin, not give you permission to stay in it:
Titus 2:14 says: "He gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good."

Jesus has sent us the Holy Spirit - so that we may not be orphaned children after he left, but that we still remain children of God.
John 14:16–18: “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth... I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

So do not grieve the Holy Spirit that is sealed in the believers...by sinning:
Ephesians 4:30 says again: "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."

Because if you do...:
Hebrews 10:26–27:
"If we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God."

Jesus warned that demons return to a heart free from the Holy Spirit:
Matthew 12:43–45 says: "When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first."

Some people claim Christ but twist grace and betray him in the lives they lead:
Titus 1:15–16 says: "To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good."

So real believers, while not perfect, will not twist sin to make it seem holy. Because when Christ sacrifices Himself to remove your debt, break Satan’s legal hold on you, and send you the Holy Spirit so you’re not orphaned but adopted — they will remain zealous in good works, and not be of those that are defiled and unbelieving in attempts to twist the grace proclaiming:

“Oh, Jesus's sacrifice set me free from slavery…so now let me just walk back into the cage of sin again, leave the door cracked open for Satan's ministries to access my body, and obey my flesh while grieving the Spirit. Now sin has become free for me and harmless with no permanent effect due to Abba's (The Father) eternal love.” --> This twisting of GRACE is from the Devil:feelsdevil:

Jude 1:4: For certain people have crept in unnoticed... ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”
