I dont get it. I literally never saw my paternal grandpa once in his life with facial hair, despite him being able to grow one. My dad even told me that there was a time where he used to shave his beard 3 times a day. Similar with my maternal grandpa, until a few months ago i never saw him with a beard as well. My maternal grandpa asked me some days ago why i wouldnt shave my beard and i explained to him that i trimmed it literally juts one day ago, but he kept being a stubborn nigger and basically told me that the girls prefer clean shaven guys (jfl at giving this advice to a chincel like me). It seems like growing a beard in the west is a thing that mainly young, ethnic and middle aged men do.

i wish i could shave i think i actually have a good face if i shave but i have extremely subhuman skin and it gets fucked up when i shave, even when i shave i can't remove the stubble

Ro answer your question though, shaving was seen as a sort of delimitating oneself from the animalistic nature, it was a sort of a way to show that you are civilized. The Romans did it and it has been going in and out of fashion for a while. Right now it is a matter of personal preference but I have a split chin and I like to show it off ergo I shave daily, I'll shave twice a say now that you've given me this wonderful idea.

BRutal my grandmother does the same shit. She tells me everytime i see her to shave when i legit trim it every fucking week. Its maybe 1cm long. Im a chincel too so i dont get how they tell me that. I look 20 times worse + my skin is terrible so i look like a burn victim without a chin.
