As the amount of normies increases, the post Quality/effort and subsequently the forum culture go into decline.
People will make shorter and Shorter Posts, threads will die very quickly, it becomes a rat race for social Validation and Attention.
I remember on 8chan r9k, there were very few users. So we would make very Long Posts, sometimes Essay length and wait a Long time for Responses.
The slowest I've ever been part of was a few weeks between Responses and it was on magicchan, I think.
If you want Quality, reduce the number of users, don't set incentives to postmax or chase Validation/Status.
Over time, postmaxers and shitposters will leave because they can get their dopamine kick faster elsewhere.
Then you have only a few very high-iq, high-effort Posters left.
